本日、無類のジャズ・ボーカリスト、アクティビスト、そしてLAジャズ・シーンの名付け親であるドワイト・ティブルが、新作『Ancient Future』を発表して戻ってきました。ロンドンのジャズ愛好家でありアナログ・スペシャリストであるGearbox Recordsから3月17日にリリースされるこの新譜は、2019年にリリースされカマシ・ワシントン、マーク・ド・クライヴ＝ロウ、ミゲル・アトウッド＝ファーガスンらとコラボレートして絶賛されたアルバム『マザーシップ』に続くものである。

Ancient Future」では、カマシ・ワシントン（サックス）と、Brianfeederと契約し、これまでMadlib、Denzel Curry、Mos Def、Blood Orange、Britany Howardらと仕事をしてきたLAのマルチインストゥルメンタリストGeorgia Anne Muldrow（ボーカル）と再びコラボレートしています。

その他、グラミー賞を2度受賞したピアニスト、ジョン・ビーズリー、カマール・ウィリアムズのツアードラマー、グレッグ・ポールも参加しています。;ゴスペルベーシスト アンドリュー・ゴーチェパーカッショニスト兼バックボーカルのMegashia Jackson、LAのギタリストG. E. Stinson、パーカッショニストのRene Fisher。

To mark the announcement of the new album, Trible has released a new single titled “Truth”. Combining cosmic electronic idiosyncrasies and keys with frenetic drumming, and avant-garde guitars, the track sees Trible flit between passionate spoken word and shamanic-like soulful outbursts, the track sees his songwriting evolve into new musical territory without losing his undeniably unique style.
